Shift
Convened by Bloomberg and New America
Note from the editor

New America and Bloomberg have convened the Shift Commission on Work, Workers, and Technology to bring together a community of leaders who want to understand the massive transformations in work and the lives of workers. We are sharing some early insights from Shift Commission meetings on this site. Our discussions will draw participants from different disciplines: technology, business, policy, civil society, academia, and others. Our approach — imagine, not predict; look beyond next year; assume no villains — will provide a new way to think about the future of work and workers. The Shift Commission is co-chaired by Anne-Marie Slaughter, President & CEO of New America, and Roy Bahat, head of Bloomberg Beta.
